Let’s face it I am not a sports nut, and after the opening ceremony coverage it is clear I am terrible at geography too. I had never even heard of some of the countries that sent competitors to Beijing.
I did learn that if you are a small country sending only a few athletes, you should focus on Judo. I guess it might have to do with the fact with a couple of pads and a box set of Bruce Lee movies you can learn enough Judo to go the Olympics.
What I want is that poster that they are all walking on. I predict that will be a big fad during the next six months to a year. Need a unity project? Buy an enormous stamp pad, a huge sheet of paper, and have your student’s/volunteer’s/patient’s/employee’s walk across it…
